PSA! New to Cincinnati is a gluten and nut free bakery… I know. Not a single thing is made with nuts OR gluten, and somehow it’s still a bakery. Enter, Cherbourg Cyprus.
My cousin, who is gluten allergic, tried it out first a few weeks ago and came back highly recommending it. I made my way down to Findlay Market this past weekend and knew I needed to stop by. There were tons of options, both savory and sweet. It felt very home-y and hip which speaks to the area where it’s located.
I wanted to try just about the entire store, but I limited myself to just a few options and took some things home to let my family try. The blueberry muffin was to die for and I’ve always had a weakness for donuts. I took home a zucchini muffin and lavender muffin to try to be a little *healthier*. My overall opinion is that I will be back in the very near future…
I think I’m most proud of the fact that people are more conscious of the idea of making their restaurants/bakeries/stores more allergy-friendly. Food sensitivities are popping up more frequently than ever before. I’m so lucky to have a place so close to me that has begun the process of creating more mindful food prep.
I’m doing my best to live up my staycation in Cincinnati this summer. A quick and very last minute trip to Chicago has been planned so I can’t wait to explore some good food up there again. I’ve yet to go to Chicago in the summer, so the outdoor activities will be plentiful!
