Long Time, No See!

Hi atravelingnutmare followers,

Sorry for my disappearance – I recently started a new job and have been extremely busy! I think taking the entire month of February off helped me refresh and restart. Because I was doing so much traveling, when I finally had the chance to catch my breath, I wanted to be able to completely do just that. With my co-op position coming to an end here in the next few weeks, I’m excited to start blogging and traveling a bit more.

Since I’ve been gone from the blog, I have celebrated lots of family birthdays, including my own, saw my aunt from Seattle, and had a visit from my cousin who lives in Birmingham. My favorite team, the Bearcats, are killing it in the basketball arena and my sister and I have a new obsession with getting our nails done. The rest of my free time has been spent working!

With my job comes a lot of eating out. I nonchalantly started an “eat out” challenge with the job. Because I was working such long hours, I ate out every single night for 35 days. I think as a human that just seems a little crazy (and maybe unhealthy). As an allergy sufferer, it is EXTREMELY hard to do! Sometimes my family struggles to pick a new restaurant for just one night. While some places were repetitive, I tried lots of new places in the area where I live and succeeded in avoiding all cross contamination! 🙂

As we head into spring, I’m looking forward to a week trip down to Atlanta and some future traveling to the beach. While I’ll be back to work and school through the summer and fall, I’m predicting some additional trips to pop up here soon! As I started looking into some possibilities, my adventurous spirit got the best of me. Allergies can definitely pull you back to reality when determining if a place would really be safe for you to travel to or not. Chile and Dubai have been ideas tossed around, but neither one has completely clicked. So, I don’t have specifics on new destinations for now! I’ll keep you posted as I continue blogging over the next few weeks.

It’s been fun seeing lots of classmates traveling over break and I’m excited and hopeful my time will come quickly!

Adventure awaits (soon),
